Contracts and Vendor Management Intern

The Contracts and Vendor Management Intern - Summer 2023 will be a key member of the Contracts Team. As a part of the Contracts and Vendor Management department, the Contracts team provides top-notch customer service to our stakeholders. The Contracts Intern will work with internal stakeholders to fulfill requests and to ensure that work products meet both Maximus and client standards. This internship will have a focus on supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance department and organizational performance and effectiveness. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to our organization and the Contracts & Vendor Management industry.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct business analysis to support the Contracts and Vendor Management department.
  • Support process improvements and project deliverables.
  • Research potential market trends.
  • Assist in special projects.
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and other tasks.
  • Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  • Occasionally lifts, carries, or otherwise moves items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Work is constantly performed in an office environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in a related major.
  • Must have completed a minimum of 2 years of college coursework.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Skilled in standard computer applications and platforms such as Outlook and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities with superior attention to detail.
